Wrangler

The iconic Jeep Wrangler is a versatile SUV that can be configured in multiple ways. Not only can the hood and doors be removed to offer an open-air cabin, but the model has four powertrain options. Along with a base 3.6-liter 285-hp V6, there’s also:

To keep you entertained, Jeep outfitted the Wrangler will many amenities. Standard features are minimal and include air conditioning and power windows. In higher trims, drivers can find more advanced features such as a 12.3-inch monitor with Jeep’s Uconnect 5 software, Apple Car Play/Android Auto, and an onboard navigation system.

For your safety, there are also many advanced driver-aids. Standard safety includes skid plates and fog lights. More comprehensive features like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision mitigation are found on higher trims.

Trims

Being such a versatile SUV, it makes sense that the Wrangler would have multiple trim options. It has nine – six main trims and three sub-trims. The main trims include the two-door models Sport and Rubicon. Then there are the four-door trims called the Sahara, High Tide, and Rubicon 392. The sub-trims, include Sport S, Willys, and Rubicon X.

Wrangler 4xe

The Wrangler 4xe is the hybrid variant of the Wrangler model, and it offers a much better fuel economy thanks to its plug-in hybrid powertrain that produces 375 horsepower, 470 lbs.-ft of torque, and an EPA-estimated 26 mpg combined.

Since the 4xe is a plug-in hybrid, the model can switch you to all-electric driving for about 25 miles thanks to its 17.0-kWh battery pack. After the battery is depleted, Jeep says it will take about 12 hours to reach 100%.

Strewn throughout the Wrangler 4xe cabin, drivers will find many amenities to enjoy. There’s a seven-inch touchscreen and a nine-speaker stereo as standard. With higher trims offering an 8.4-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, ambient interior lighting, and more.

To ensure you stay safe while traversing the highway and trials, the Wrangler 4xe has been equipped with many advanced driver-aids. These include rock rails, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitors, and a forward-facing off-road camera.

Trims

Unlike the base Wrangler model that has several sub-trims, the 4xe does not. As such, there are only six trims available.

Sport S: The Sport S is the new base model, and with it comes 20-inch wheels, four-wheel drive, and an eight-speaker sound system.

Willys: The Willys builds off the Sport S by adding more off-road capable features such as an electronic-locking rear differential, rock rails, and 17-inch wheels.

Sahara: Adding more style and luxury to the Wrangler, the Sahara builds off the Sport S, adding many of that trim’s optional features as standard. There are also heated front seats, a 115-volt outlet, and ambient LED interior lighting.

Rubicon: As the most capable off-roader in the lineup, the Rubicon offers an enhanced suspension and a 4×4 system unavailable on other trims.

High Altitude: The High Altitude adds unique styling and features to its design. Body-colored front and rear bumpers and the Sky One-Touch Power-Top adorn the exterior. The interior adds 12-way power front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, and navigation.

Rubicon X: The Rubicon X adds more luxury and capability to the Rubicon trim. New additions include the contents from the Safety, Technology, and Convenience packages as standard. 12-way power-adjustable heated front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, and acoustic glass are also available.
